Project Description:

The Client is commissioning the Designer to create a book cover for the upcoming book titled “This Time Is Different” by Norman L. Bliss, to be published on Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). The book cover will be designed for both paperback and hardcover formats.

Scope of Work:

1. Front Cover: No text. The front cover will feature a provided photo that needs enhancement and adjustments.

2. Spine: No text; background color to match the front cover background photo.

3. Back Cover: Background color to match the front background cover photo. Include the book title, author’s name, a blurb, and space for KDP’s ISBN barcode. Font suggestions for the back cover text are open and should be proposed by the Designer.

Design Requirements:

The photo provided by the Client for the front cover requires enhancements and correction of any marks.

Use the KDP Print Cover Calculator and Templates to ensure correct dimensions and file specifications.

Deliverables:

Final book cover design in formats suitable for KDP (PDF).

Source files of the design.

Timeline: The complete design is to be delivered within [specify number] weeks from the date of this agreement.

Payment upon satisfaction: The Client will make full payment upon successful upload and implementation of the design without any issues. Error resolution and second review are included at no additional cost.

Rights:

If errors are identified during the implementation or upload process, the Designer is responsible for promptly correcting these issues at no additional cost to the Client.

Guarantee of Quality:

The Designer guarantees that the final deliverable will meet the agreed specifications and be free from errors upon final submission, following any necessary corrections.

General Provisions:

This contract represents the entire agreement between the Client and the Designer.
