Present Day

Foreword

Welcome to “Singing Frogs Village: Present Day,” a continuation of the heartfelt and compelling stories that began in my earlier work, “Singing Frogs Village: Men And Ladies Of Honor.” (my first book.) In this new volume, we journey back to the vibrant and resilient community of San Gabriel to discover how the characters we’ve come to know and love have grown, evolved, and navigated the complexities of modern life.

San Gabriel is more than just a place on the map; it is a tapestry woven with the threads of tradition, family, and honor. In “Men And Ladies Of Honor,” we explored the roots of this community, delving into the lives of individuals who exemplified courage, integrity, and dedication. Now, in “Present Day,” we see how these values have carried forward into contemporary times, shaping the lives of their descendants and the community at large.

From the tireless efforts of Morningstar, Alice, and Sherri to seek justice for their people, to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Leather Store Brothers, this book captures the spirit of San Gabriel as it adapts to the 21st century. We follow the journeys of new leaders like Juan, the acclaimed President of Mexico, and delve into the daily lives of families like that of Richard and Dawn, whose daughters have made remarkable strides both in athletics and business.

“Singing Frogs Village: Present Day” is a celebration of continuity and change. It honors the past while embracing the future, illustrating how the principles of honor and community remain steadfast even as the world around us transforms. Each story in this book is a testament to the enduring spirit of San Gabriel and its people, who continue to thrive through their unwavering commitment to each other and their shared heritage.

As you read through these pages, I hope you find inspiration in the lives of the characters, just as I have. Their stories are a reminder that, no matter the era, the core values of honor, family, and community are timeless and universal.

Thank you for joining me once again in San Gabriel. I am thrilled to share with you the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the Singing Frogs Village and to celebrate the present-day lives of its remarkable inhabitants. With gratitude, Norman L. Bliss
